Atukula Laddu is an easy-to-make laddoo and is sure to delight your taste buds.<br />Kids will love it too. It is made in South India during the festival of Janmashtmi.<br /><br />Ingredients :<br />Poha (Flattened rice) -250 gms <br />Dry Coconut Pieces - 2 tbsp<br />Jaggery - 250 gms <br />Roasted Dry Fruits ( Cashews & Almonds)<br />Ghee - 1/2 tsp<br />Roasted Moongdal Powder - 50 gms<br />Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp<br /><br />Method:<br />1.Heat 2 teaspoons of ghee in a frying pan. Add and roast the beaten rice until crisp and aromatic. <br />2. Switch off the heat and allow it to cool. Grind the roasted poha, coconut and cardamom seeds into a powder. <br />3. Add fried coconut pieces and grind it into powder.<br />4.Add the powdered jaggery to it and grind again till the mixture becomes smooth. <br />5. Let's grind the dry fruits into a coarse powder.<br />6. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add the remaining ghee, cardamom powder and moong dal powder, mix very well. Shape the mixture into small round balls. Store in an airtight container.<br />
